When you arrive to Vale Sekoula villa, you will be greeted by our friendly local caretaker to show you the house and to welcome you with a coconut drink. Get ready to dive into your own backyard swimming pool as you stare out into the ocean. The most beautiful sunrise right here from the patio. The house has a nice size kitchen for entertaining and for those who enjoy cooking you will feel right at home. For those who rather not cook, you can request our local staff to cook you up a wonderful Fijian style meal! (Meals not included in nightly rate). The kitchen has a gas stove with oven and fridge with freezer. There is a spacious dining area and living room with SmartTV. Three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two full bathrooms each with walk-in showers and one extra outdoor pool shower. Relax and unwind under the covered deck on the back patio; enjoying the breeze with a view of the amazing blue Pacific Ocean. You will love our beach deck on the water! Matei is a beautiful little beach town. Villa Sekoula is a gated villa with great parking at the house. Our beach town is easy to get around with a few markets for groceries and a few restaurants in walking distance. You will really like Tramonto's, a restaurant on the water minutes away. Taxis and buses are available to tour the island if you like or you can rent your own car. Our Villa is a few minute walk across to the runway for your convenience. Roughly 2-3 small planes a day arrive in Matei.

Amazing views, sandy beaches, waterfalls and some of the friendliest people on earth all make Taveuni an unforgettable experience. Kayaking is free at the villa (2 double kayaks 2 Paddleboards). With your own private pool, deck and beach (on low tide), you really won't want to leave. You will love our amazing over the water beach deck. There are four small islands a short paddle from our villa where you can take the kayaks or hire our boat to explore. On the third island you will find a nice white sand beach to pull up on and have a picnic or just relax and collect shells. You will almost be guaranteed to have it all to yourself. The snorkeling from here is also very nice! Keep an eye out for turtles! We can also arrange surf trips to one of the world famous surf breaks just a 30 minute boat ride from the house. Maqai (Mum-guy) is one of Taveuni’s most consistent surf breaks. If you prefer a scuba diving trip, we do offer the world famous rainbow reef dive. If you just want to relax and snorkel, we can schedule a wonderful snorkeling tour. Taveuni is also famous for sports fishing for Tuna, Wahoo and many other catches of a life time. Guests will have access to the entire Villa property. Gated 1/2 acre beachfront with swimming pool. Lots of fruits and vegetables on the property. The yard and anything in it is yours to enjoy. Caretakers live nearby and they are at your service if you need anything. Make sure to book a wonderful pool side couples massage and for your convenience our 2 double Kayaks and 2 paddle boards available for guests to use anytime. Kayaks are stored near the water and can be launched very easy with lifejackets provided. Enjoy the outdoor shower when finished walking on the beach. You will enjoy the most beautiful sunrise in the world.
You are probably already aware that Taveuni is a rural tropical destination. There are chickens, roosters and a few dogs in Matei so it is likely you will hear them in the mornings or sometimes at night. Taveuni is the "garden isle" of the Fiji islands so a few rain showers during the day is not uncommon. Also keep in mind that Fiji is in the tropics so it is common to see Geckos around and every now and then in the house, but they are cute and harmless. The homes power system is all captured by the sun, but when extra power is needed, automatic generators will kick in. Not to worry, they are in a power house some distance away from the main home.
